Mk6 or Mk7.....2006 was the "change-over" year.

The pick looks like it may be a Mk6...??

Both Mk6 & Mk7 RWD's are 2.4 Duratorq engines..

Your last pic certainly looks like Mk6 injectors in there..!

Hi Lord Knobrot yes you are correct it is a 2.4 Rwb 115 Mk 6 Transit.

Is there much difference between the Mk 6 & Mk 7 2.4 engines

The basic engines are quite similar, although they do have their differences, the Mk6 is generally TDDi, (there is an evil TDCi version though)... the Mk7's are all TDCi (Common Rail)...and have a lot more electrickery on them.

Even the Mk7 2.4 engines differ between models, the 140 is quite different to the lower power jobbies...they have two oil filters and a VNT turbo with electronic actuator... just to mention a couple.

Right, the reason I ask is on Etis my van is down as a 2.4 TDCI PUMA, but to me it is a TDDI as there is no common rail, all pipes lead to the fuel pump, so I keep asking myself was the engine allready changed before I bought it. There is a 5:88 diff in it, so it is screaming at 3000 PM doing only 55 mph so even do it has only 174,000 miles on the clock it has been a hard slog for the engine. Cheers for the help

Yeah...Etis did have a few issues with the info on them for some models...yours is obviously one of them..!

The 115ps 2.4 was incorrectly listed on etis, it's a TDDi.

Gentlemen thank you for clearing up that problem for me as now I know why parts people would look at me like I had 2 heads when I would be asking for 2.4 Tdci parts. Again thanks for the help it is massive. Cheers.
