Hardly surprising...I sold a set of 4 Genuine Transit Wellers for £80 with decent tyres at last yrs "Mania" (and they took a lot of pushing before they sold)
Lots on here have made a fuss and go a bit mad for these and those that have them for sale seem to suffer from a similar madness when they come up with a price but when I put mine up for £120 I had no interest except from someone that wanted them delivered (over a 120 miles away) for £100 and he didn't even have the money anyway (later on he put a set up for sale and was asking £200 for his
Yes i do tend to agree, mine are original 1970`s wellers and I got them for less than half of what these are up for (admittedly it was a set of 4) but perfect for me, did have to travel half way across the mainland to get them, but worth it though, tyres on mine were very good BF Goodrich but to wide for my van, so took them off and sold them and almost got all my money back ......... but then had to buy new tyres
i think the big problem with these wellers is they only really fit mk1/2/3 and mk4/5 at a push but mk6 on they need work on the arches - there arnt that many mk1/2/3s left on the road and the mk4/5s are getting less
the amount of people i see relist things atleast 5 times at the same price or even at a higher price!! i always start at a low price and it usually goes up from there
