If Mick was to build a van yep it would be super light and more than likeley runing a cossie lump on nitrous check his cortina out here during its 04 rebuild gives you some idea as to what I think his vision is

I expect my van to run in the 13's with a mild 460ci, its still got the nitrous bottle mounts in the back too if i get game i MIGHT give it a spray

My vans original weight is 1401kg

to push my van to a flat 10 with good traction and a perfect launch id need around 595hp

The big block im fitting has just over 400hp and i need about 300hp to run a 13

So with the power i have and my weight IF i got a perfect launch my van should run mid 11's
Yeah i know its big green and rusty so move your Porsche before i bash it with 460 cubes of fords finest cast iron

i was thinking about this project a while back, it's a non starter for me really ive got way too many as it is, but..................... if you cut the transit shell off the chassis - as its the chassis thats heavy and put it on either a spceframed chassis or say a granada floorpan then midmounted a 350bhp bmw 7 series or merc v8 or whatever :? - those big cars you can get for nowt due to excessive running costs :P then it could be done fairly cheeply couple of grand mabe :D dunno if it would do ¼mile in 10 secs but it would be fast
what about choppin body from a scooby then droppin tranny shell on it ive got scooby an im bored with it just need a push  :lol:probably not 10 second stuff but lots of potential!

Yes I do, but it's sounds like good business to me, I would if I could.
