My headlight bulb has failed, so I have fitted a paraffin lamp using some galv band and rusty nails, I don't trust that electrickery

anyway... anyone fitted a 2.5di into a mk6 and got the speedo working ?

fuel pump has gone in my mk6... was going to get the pump reconditioned... but have been told it's £600 !

worried about the quality of 2nd hand pumps...

van is solid underneath, but a bit rough on the outside, big dint in the back on the drivers side... don't want to spend too much on it !

That reg is to old for etis, reg numbers only work after 91/92, if you know the vin you may find it, but at that age there is only very limited information.

F**k that ! I'll just dust off the horse and cart, those internal combustion engines sound dangerous they'll never take off. I must admit to being a bit worried about the reliability of the horse and cart though as it has wheels on it   Lads why don't you just fit a steam engine ?

Id rather see a mk6 back on the road even with a 2.5di in it,than another one stacked up in a breakers yard :(

why bother ? the smiley transits are much nicer too drive in my opinion !! seems a lot of trouble for nothing ?! id spend some time cutting the rust out of the smiley and save it , as they are by far the best trany engine , but only in its original van ! they don't seem so good in anthing else as the gearing on other motors vary ! I put one in an old landy and it was shite .
