mk5 quad headlamps!

Postby trublustu » Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:34 am

Hi all, I got my hands on a set of fiberglass quad-headlights to fit a mk4/5,new generation/smiley.

Im thinking of making some moulds to reproduce them.

What I want to know is, would anyone be anyone interested in a set?

Cheers, Stu..

Like the infamous spoilers and sun visors, quad headlamp mouldings have been popular items here but no one has ever managed to produce any at a sensible price.

Hi all.
These were on eBay recently, but not the £200 ones!!!!
That's why im asking though, just how popular are these things!
Can't sort pics off my bloody phone, but will sort soon :-)
the cost seems to be mainly in the lights themselves, the moulding doesn't look at all complicated...
I plan on seriously looking into this, so stay tuned...

Alright matey !
You will sell a few if your price is right. I would love a set. But won't be paying eBay money for them. They turn up on here every now and then for between 60 and 100 squid. ( I haven't been fast enough for those )
You could knock out the moldings and let folks find their own lights.

Well i`m encouraged by what you`ve all had to say...

I`ve had a look at these lights, needless to say things are never simple...

I`m happy to report i have a unfitted and undamaged pair. great for a mould:-)

The lights can be done cheap (horrible to wire and offer sh*te light!)
or with a little work, and money, efficient and bright!

Gonna try uploada few piccies...

i`ve never managed this first time yet!!!!!
