scuttle question

Quick question re scuttle panel. I have van all stripped out and am in the process of removing inner wings. I am leaving the screen in but cant decide whether to leave the scuttle in and put the trimmed new one over the top or remove as much as possible, what have others done ?

Also noticed the plates on chassis ends are not mounted square on the mk6. Is the cut square to the leg to mount the new plates or are they also on an angle ?

Scuttle can go over old1 once trimmed legs are a squire cut unless you drill the spots out of the bumper. Support bar brackets and trim them down. a bit that way you don't have to touch the chassis depends witch way you want to do it
