Before i get neon green led strip fitted onto my grill i need to know is it road legal at night?

would'nt think so mate........white light only afaik.........green used to be for doctors on emergency.......somebody'll tell me if i'm wrong

Not too sure, I think as long as it doesn't flash then you are ok. They keep changing rules, some are ok for mot but not traffic laws and visa versa.

White or amber to the front red/amber at the rear i believe it is.

LED's of any sort aren't legal unless fitted and homologated by the manufacturer.

After reading this post I remembered I saw an article in an old truck mag about lighting regs, the mag is Trucking and from 2007 and the regs may of changed now.

(No, my memory is not good enough to remember this from 2007, I was looking through it the other day!) :lol:

Just to clarify... because I misread it to start with :wink: you mean the manufacturer of the LED lamp unit not the vehicle ;).

Maybe it's changed, but it used to be that led's weren't legal unless they were fitted by the manufacturer, hence them being sold as 'not for highway use'. Manufacturers can homologate things for use, HID systems are another example.
