My mk7 project

Postby jd-lee » Sat Aug 16, 2014 11:54 pm

How I started styling my van with the traditional chrome.
To now changing my mind and what to do a darker style transit with a touch of old skool American look like wider deep dish wheels. Open mouth grill. Lower front end with lifted rear. No chrome but matt black. Not everyone taste. But all about being different and standing out

I'd recommend an inconspicuous massive white Torino stripe :D

Matt black looks smarter than chrome, really like the grille stands out on the transit

Really like it, have you got a pic without the Ford on the grille?

I looked at doing similar, but no one does a nice strong honeycomb pattern grill mesh, that's what would make it look 100% pucker. Your stuck with expanded or mesh, both are not quite right IMO.

I can see why you put the ford logo on, it does break it up a bit....

Robbie. Yeah it was mate

Rumble. Cheers mate and no sorry mate I ain't. Too impatient to get it together for the meet. Lol

Adam. Yeah mate I wasted loads of money trying to find a decent mesh. The one I end up with is a solid sheet that has been pressed to get the holes. And it was the cheapest one... £14 lol.
I'd like to try do something a bit more factory looking. Ie a plaster grill with the ford badges.

Anyone going ace cafe on the 6th?
