Mk7 fog lights

Postby tytek » Mon Dec 22, 2014 10:56 pm

Is it possible to fit fog lights to 'non fog light' bumpers by drilling the hole out to the right size and fitting the light unit?

Yes it is, 70mm holesaw. You also need the brackets for the mk7 fog lights too. Fogs screw to brackets and bracket screw to bumper.

From memory the brackets are about £16 from ford :D

Some vans already have the wiring, and just need the headlight switch changing to one that does fogs, have a look on the tops on the chassis legs, either side of the engine bay for an used 2 pin connector on each side that's clipped back to the loom.

If the wiring isn't there, it's easy enough to do, and earth to each light, the combine the positive, take the cable into the van, connect to the bcm ( I'll find the PIN number later) and change the headlight switch!
