what petrol engine conversion for a mk5 ?

alright guys, just brain storming at the moment, what petrol engines other than the usual cossie v6 would you use a in a mk5, as my 2.0 twin cam is nippy for what it is its just isnt quick enough for me.

Something quicker? Cosworth YB, that should be quicker not cheap though

have a look at the 2.0 turbo in the Nissan silvia, think the code is sr20det, cheaper than a yb

Was looking at possibly a focus st170 motor to start with and then possibly turbo it

mondeo st200... or focus rs or volvo T5 cheaper than a focus engine to get and still easy to get 300hp

You used to be able to buy turbo kits for the st motor not sure if they're still available, if you're looking for bigger numbers from it though maybe consider the mk1 focus rs motor or perhaps a supercharged or turbo''d black top
