radio controler stalk fitment

I have bought an aftermarket double din headunit for ma mk7 van, my van didnt come standard with the stalk on collum, I have bought one from a van, is there any way can connect them in? I took couling of on steering wheel and no extra wires. I was hoping to be able to buy a loom for it. Anybody ever done it?
