Sunglasses holder

Postby ian__lo » Tue Mar 17, 2015 7:48 pm

So I've snooped about on this forum a fair bit and have noticed some pretty cool simple mods.

The first simple one I'm most keen to do is a sunglasses holder! Preferably the type that flips down and replaces the overhead grab handle.

I'd love the centre console one with the light but I've got a reverse camera screen there on my transit and so I don't think I'll get one to fit there, plus I've no grab handle so something there would be useful!

Anyone know which model ford has one of these flip down sunglasses holders that fit the transit??

Stay cool!

I think some high spec focus's and cmax have the shades holder that replaces the grab handle above the driver? :D

I've heard cmax being mentioned here and there on this forum, forgive my lack of brain, but Keh? Is a cmax a model motor like focus, fiesta etc... Or a type of model? Like limited for transits... Despite being enthusiastic about my lovely transit, I know very little about ford's... Let alone motors! Learning with every thread I read!

Oh blimey, that sounds as silly as the mini Cooper massive thing! I'll keep my eye out for any of these in the scrappers.

Actually, has anyone any ideas how much one of these sunglasses holders would be from Ford?

And cheers punto, might I mention also what a slick job you done to your red mk6, when you had it, trawled through that thread last week, brilliant stuff dude, you guys know your poop!

Punto (and anyone else who's experienced in the mk7 dash) , may I ask how difficult it was to a and if possible what order of disassembly the dashboard required for removal of the centre dash is (where all the switches and radio are), I saw a carbon fibre vinyl cover on this somewhere on this forum and I so want to do that to my dash. Looks the nuts! Is it simple enough? I was going to put a day into it hopi G that should be enough time...

It's been awhile but I think you have to strip the steering colomn cover off, then the speedo surround to get access to some of the screws from the centre facia. Stereo out and then a couple of screws in on the bottom? :D
