Smoothing the lock blank would make it look better if possible

Lights that are facing each other to light up under the tailgate would be good or another 2 brake lights

Led strobe lights would cover them holes. Or perhaps you can get some grab handles to go there like the BT vans to help get up to the roof rack.

Can't you make two small square plates paint them blue and fix them over the old mounting points you could stick them on with panel adhesive the automotive type.

I've ordered a couple of coloured reflector, so I'll see how they look?

I thought about some kind of clamp for side screens off the tailgate too, but I've got a compile of bits of gaffs on them the now

Update, the reflectors were shite

And I've found two bad points to having the tailgate.......
1. Forklift can't get in the back :(
2. The no. Plate recess holds a bout a gallon of water when it's raining, which hits you when you shut it!

Learned quick to stand to the side! :D
