Have you pefected the 'pull the handle and step back in just the right place so the tailgate just misses your face as it opens my millimeters' maneuver yet?

Mk6 tailgate on a mk7?

I just metered the old connections from the original doors and rearranged the pins on my new plugs :D
Also had to re drill the outlet hole for the cable as it was on the wrong side.

That's the same door as I've just put on my mk7! Paul2012 on another thread kindly provided these wiring diagrams for the tourneo tailgate.

http://s394.photobucket.com/user/paul20 ... r.jpg.html

The brake light and no plate lights were simple enough, plug behind the left rear light, but wiper and central locking is a bit harder.
I made the mistake of cutting the loom from the old doors nice and long but forgot to meter them first! And theyre all the same colour! So I have metered the pernament live, lock signal and unlock signal i think, but not sure on the others locations yet. If you didn't already have a wiper it needs activating in IDS and a new wiper stalk (from a Cmax - thanks Loot) putting on. Wiper has 2 lives and heated window has a live and should work if you put a button below the heated window. (Did on my 12' trend anyway). Theyre 3 chunky wires on a plug behind right rear light.
I'm at work all weekend :( So will probably have another go on Monday, unless you sort it first please share which pin from the mk7 plug goes to which wire

Punto, is the lock mechanism the same on the tailgate as the barn doors :?:

Mine came without :? I could swap the one my existing TG but would like to get another if I can .....

Lots of rear lock mechs on the bay and they look like mine, but I've made that mistake before

Yes I can, but I'd rather not, as when I sell mine, I'd like it to be complete :?
