A week later and not even the courtesy of a reply! So you are probably right Adaptors would not work, as they would push the wheels out too far. Pity, as the Alcoa wheels would be spot on for offset and width on a Mk2! I did a lot of measuring, and looks like they would be good on the Mk2 with a 195 or 205/60x16 tyre.
