transit mk3-5 four link suspension ???

As above, just throwing an idea out there, I know you can buy kits to convert early escorts/capris etc from leaf springs to four link setup with coilovers. Just wondered if its been done on a transit ?
I like the idea of doing away with the leaf spring and fitting regular shock and spring. Or even better would be running airbag setup :)

did you go ahead with it? I'm planning on getting a transit connect, removing the leaf springs and putting it on bags. :D

i thought about it but decided it was too much hassle and the van was never going out out handle a ferrari so in the end i kept the leaf springs but fitted anti tramp bars :D

for airbags it could work tho

I've looked in to this aswell. But on a FWD mk6. And like said, if you want to run air bags it could be ideal..
The other option i have thought about would be to five link it and then rather than run airbags, mount it on coilovers.cheaper way of getting it to sit low
