HI guys once again. I saw that my previous colleague topic die, in the mean time we are closely going to end the project. Therefor once again I try to add all informations based on first topic with pictures.

I bought 5 years ago Ford Transit Westfalia Nugget, 1989, Pinto engine with carburettor 2V, 77 HP, 4 speed gearbox. Car very lovely, but little bit to slow ,without automatic gearbox and wheels with standard tires looks like big ballons. For sure i need to change that, so lets start.

.....then..I bought in Germany Ford Scorpio 1997, engine 2,3 16V Y5A, 147KM, with 5 speed automatic gearbox A4LDE. Very small mileage 70.000 miles... as a heart base for my Transit.

In short version I repeat after Wojciech. Transit has air condition (internal heater is from Mk5/6), steering servo, drive shaft is shorter (because of longer gearbox), engine and gearbox radiators are from Scorpio, radiator fans are from Cosworth version (more flat), clocks are from Scorpio (because of connection with ECU), instrument panel is from Mk5 (must be higher for higher heater).
In engine - oryginal oil container was to high and is changed - now is from Galaxy Y5B, EGR is changed (moved) - it was to high, plastic inlet manifold is changed for alu without water part.
From electric system (from Scorpio) is taken away ABS and ESP. And same other stupiditys...

At the beginning, we need to replace all rust on infected parts. On the picture old hood and first step of wire connection management :D . Now look much, much better

Final painting result from Mercedes U800 heliodoor green, and Citroen orange with green flip-flop coat.
Wheels it's Brabus 17" 7,25" ET35 monoblock V - first check. All plastic and metal elments are painted in main colour, even wiper arms - only seals are black  New lights all around.

Below you can see rebulid front hubs, Luke thanks for your support :) and changed fuel tank with additional plastic (PUR) ring. We used reduced and modified Scorpio fuel pump set (with Scorpio metal tank ringal element). Connection beetwen plastci and metal ring sealed by Hylomar M and fixed with screews.

Guys, have you any suggestion how to "simple" improve front or rear brakes and suspension? I almost twice increase power so I could say that MK3 even after re-new all elements, not manage with stability and braking ;) Somebody consider to add air ride suspension ?

nice work on the hubs 8)

for brakes all i have on mine (running mk4/5 front suspention) is transit 6 stud 190 fronts and disks on the back (and mine has a 350bhp engine)

the rear disk conversion was quite involved and doesnt really improve braking i did it to fit mercedes alloys

not 100% sure if they will fit to a mk3 hub as there are slight differences but if they will it is a good upgrade and relatively easy to do

the fronts you need mk5 6 stud 190 caliper carriers (or full calipers), disks and pads - the calipers (part with the piston in) are exactly the same as is the master cylinder
they will all fit to the 5 stud hub :D

back brakes i think you can fit the mk 4/5 drums they are bigger than the mk3 but its the fronts that do 90% of the braking
