Customised Custom.....

Postby shire » Sun Sep 24, 2017 11:53 am

After owning a mk6 transit for 6 years then a onto a mk7 trend for another 4 years i decided to go for a custom.

Bought the custom 2 months back and it's a 2016 with the Euro 5 engine, limited model in deep impact blue. Really liked the M sport but just couldn't justify the extra cost. So decided to do a little customising myself.....

Added the front splitter
All the grey plastic's have been sprayed gloss black (blue on the wing mirror triangle)
New door speakers fitted
Osram LEDriving fog & daytime lights
All bulbs swapped to Osram night breakers or cool blue intense
Silvertec indicator bulbs
Roof rails
Side bars
Window wind deflectors

Would definitely recommend the Osram LEDriving fogs they make a massive difference to the van and the DRL's look great.

On the to do list is ......

Hykee door locks
Spoiler for the barn style doors (just waiting for a insurance payout as a nice Fella at the builders merchant decided to lower the forklift on it adding a nice unwanted crease)
Remap by Vantuner
New set of wheels (just in the process of trying to sort some M sport wheels in silver :D )
Possibly lowering if I can find a quality set up

Stunning!

How did you get the front bumper centre section off? i.e. the part behind the number plate?

Did the plastic take q bit of getting smooth or was it just a case of plenty of high build primer and rub back repeatedly?

Interested in doing a similar style myself :-)

Thanks in advance.

Bodyshop did all the work so hard to say but I'm sure the main bumper comes off first then the plastic part from behind

Little more done now.....
