i like the idea, but i got to say this, i think you just ruined a perfectly good transit there that shell looked good :roll:

be careful how you load that = nose heavy even empty!

i would agree with that comment,,,, must be near the nose weight without anything in it, isnt it?

next job would be cut the axle out and move to the middle?? ;)

nice work chris 8)

i made a trailer a few weeks back from a ex BT transit back (the fibreglass ones) and thats nose heavy too but i'll see how it tows :D i havent managed to try it yet as it's still full of junk :lol:

one day i'd like to do one on a mk1/2 and paint it grey with the same alloys as my van 8) 8) but theres a lot of things i'd like to do that i'll never get round to :lol:

Not bad at all mate,
I made this trailer out of a lot of awning poles and mini wheels,
I like making trailers and other stuff ,its a bit of a hobby :D [img]

Dont theese things need to be tested or type approved ???
Surely its not legal to just weld an a-frame to half a shell and tow it down the road? Especially with all the health and safety police about and VOSA?

Were thinking of doing it with a MK6 transit, looking on the best ways to go about it. we were thinking of using a jumbo chopping it so the wheels are centre fix the sliding door closed permanantly, removing the rear doors, chopping the roof off, and replacing the rear doors and roof with a semi-hi top. Dose anyone know of any problmes we might encounter along the way?
