MattBlackMinibus wrote:Remove original bumper.
Drill two holes in the lower part of the front wings for the new end-caps,
(avoiding water bottle in passenger side).
Test fit, using bolts from old bumper into new bumper end-caps.
Test fit and make cut out for tow-bar,
also mark and cut centre section for tow-bar.
Join 3 sections of new bumper, stretch it on (it's a bit narrower),
and bolt on through wings.
Mark the gaps on top, underneath the headlights,
remove bumper again, and glass-fibre/fill/weld.
Paint + fit.
Trim tags underneath grille and re-fit.
Job done.
allright mate i was hoping you might be able to clear up a few things for me i have got a mk6 bumper to go on my mk5 ,i went for a trial fit, bumper too wide ?, and my end caps have no fittings,i dont suppose you have pics of the fittings are could discribe them and how have you secured the center section ?
Looks a bit Essex with the different colour eh
Must go to Southend before I paint it (Ok, sorry, only jokin)
I've got it fitted, in red, and haven't filled the top gaps yet,
and have done about 3hundred miles with it only attached by the two end bolts.
It hasn't budged a mil.
It does look fat
I'll update this with some proper pics when it's filled and painted.

There were brackets on the inside of the end-caps (sounds like you need to source these),
which have threaded holes in them.
My bolts go from inside the lower part of the wing where I drilled,
through the wing, into the bracket.
The centre section is screwed to the end caps with std very short small screws in std locations, and not fixed to the van.
I'll get some pics soon when I remove the bumper to fill the gaps at the top,
but not sure when that'll be
