Wheel adaptors/hub redrills

Postby MinorMatt » Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:30 am

Would anyone here be interested if I started producing some hub adaptors and redrilling front hubs? I nearly have all the kit to do it properly now!

AFAIK Luke never did hub redrills or make the adaptors himself I believe he farmed them out (but I may be wrong)

Are you sure its not possible? Im no engineer but id imagine anything is possible with a little machining??
Ive just had a quote for a set of 5x160 to 5x130 and 5x120 pcd adaptors @ 28mm thick for best part of £300, im seriously considering it (due to the crap choice of after market 6 stud alloys available)! and with a little bit of trial & error find a set of decent Bmw or Porsche rims to fit, even if they need a little machining off the back of them to get the offset somewhere handy :)

Basically, buy the time you have put adaptors on a 6 stud axle they will be poking out beyond the bodywork... Then consider the offset of any wheel you want to fit

pritty sure you can get them thinner :? - it'd save the cost of machining the wheels  - theres a drawing on here i think they are 20mm thick :D
