so not got got all the niggles sorted yet
have finished the clutch convertion its all bmw now works a treat.for now anyway. now its developed a juddering guest it was the axle
felt like diff bearings grinding when jacked up so decided to fit a new one from a mk7 looked about the same
and would get a better ratio curently on a 5.1!! found a 3.73 mk7 went to pick it up
4.27 better then what id got plus had discs. got round to fitting it to find the u bolts are different plus bracket that holds them, ordered new handbreak cables straight fit but didnt bank on the prop needing shortening
so out with the grinder and welder and dial gauge £500 later all fitted and done drove it out the workshop still judders
reprogramed the gearbox ecu, cured
.. will try and make north weld but still got a few issuse to sort like fit new gearbox(current one has not liked being run for 1000miles with no oil)
make new exhuest to noisy. implement a new set of maps for gearbox ecu for when the oil heats up and wire up the lpg(been runing with a fulty tps sensor runing rich been costing £1 per mile in petrol)
and needs a good setting up!! and a new turbo oil seals. but still puts a big smile on my face
