hi hillman.

1, Use a mk7 transit as a guide for the measuring. There are some factory drilled holes in the side of the chassis which are in the same location on a mk6, you can use these holes to measure off. It is very little what is cut off from what i can remember.

2, Back in the thread i have tried to explain about the indicator mod, its the best way i can describe it mate.

3, My transit was already electric, so the doors were the same but you need to use the mk6 door loom as it affects the central locking. And you will need a double window switch off a fiesta as the mk7 transit window switch only has one plug.

Hope it helps and good luck!

Use your existing looms, because when using the mk7 looms, when you lock the doors they just reopen.

If your van hasnt got leccy windows to start anyway, u are going to have to wire them up seperate anyway, you will still need a window switch with two plugs on as well i think. But the seperate window wiring im unsure of.

iv done mine today its well worth doing but just remember to measure align and test fit 10 times and weld the once, if any body is wondering about how much to cut of chassis legs I just cut mine directly infront of the rad support bar I think its about a inch and its a really nice fit with the bumper -its a bit harder to cut on the passenger leg as there triple skinned as theres a towing eye on that side, you can either buy the ford bits or just make a panel up I used the old bit I cut off and bent the old edges inwards and fitted them inside the chassis leg and welded all round then made 4 new holes for the impact bar - you will need to weld another plate at the top for the slam panel (crossmember) brackets just remember to elongate the holes so if you need to you can adjust the position and then just bolt it up,im going to have to use some self tapping screws on my scuttle trim as old flitch covers the mounting points, just need to sort the headlight wires and a few other odds and ends.

if any one has any detailed info and pics about the wiring for headlight it would be greatly appreciated, aslo iv got some mk7 doors with electric windows if anyone now how to get them working as I hear theres a issue with the central locking my van has manual window wipers.
