having looked at the dvla website im apparantly allowed to drive (on a provisional licence supervised) a vehicle with a maximum mass of 3500kg so am i allowed to drive a swb transit? :oops:

What licence do you have?

Well, your licence entitles you to drive a van up to 3500kg GVW, but whether you'll be able to insure it for a learner driver will be your challenge :P

My old gaffer wanted to teach his laddie to drive in his van and was told no by his insurance as it was a commercial vehicle :?

yeh some do refuse :( but iv had a quote for £1750 wich although that sounds a lot thats about average for me and most other provisional drivers it seems these days greedy insurace companies

£1750 is quite good......my niece got asked for £3500 to insure a punto!!!!
