Just got my PL quote for renewal.
Up by nearly 40% :(

Directline radio ad "we'll match or beat any PL quote"
No they won't as apparantly they don't cover the "solid fuel industry" and was informed I should have read the T&C's

Read the furking T&C's on the sodding car radio.(that'll be the garbled bit at the end)
ne m'écoute pas je suis plein de merde.
A house without a dog is like a forum without a BJT.
Too bloody quiet

The 'rediculous' quotes could be because of the mods that you've done to the van, generally it's better to use a broker in situations such as yours. Give one a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.
