A few years back I'd have said yes, sadly we seem to be producing pigs like this over here now.

ARGH I hate MK7s. Been driving one for a good few months now for work, its so crap. Brakes are SHOCKING, nearly rear ended someone today (they did pull out on me mind), engine is knocking like f*** when its cold, wheel bearing on the way again, feel a knocking through the steering wheel, broken down so many times, clutch is crap, box is heavy when cold, got some weird cut out when starting it in reverse  . Only done 60k. Long live the MK5!!!! Done more mileage personally in my mk5 and not had a single problem, 240k on the clock soon

How much wider is the cab/van on a MK6/7 then a MK5, its gotta be at least 2 inches on either side? With the mirrors that has to make a difference down country lanes and the like.
My Mk5 was biodegradable and disintegrated with time.
Ford. Committed to the Environment

Finally entered the 21st Century and bought a MK7. Oh Dear.

this is why i would be very careful buying an ex fleet van. Ours dont get looked after at all. Its lack of maintenance and crap design if you ask me, all adds up to a terrible van. Yeah its a bit wider than the mk5, still get into a parking space tho
