Mike - From my 1995 buyers guide -

the lightest kerb weight is 1453kg (SWB 80)

Whats the lighest mk7 then?

Edit: downloaded the current brochure... the lightest I can see is 1728kg (250 2.2 SWB Low Roof)

The heaviest mk5 (up to LWB) is only 1795kg...

I think we will just have to wait and see what it looks like in the flesh and how the finished model will appear.
I am sure it will grow on us, my only concern is that it doesnt end up looking like an OEM van whereby there are several makes of the same van but with different badges, ala the poxy Vivaro which BTW looks like it went over a speed hump too fast and the driver and passengers all fled up and hit their heads on the roof.

The thing about the current Transit is that its obviously a transit and nothing else.

Time will tell and when my 3 year contract is up in 2015 I am sure any teething probs will be sorted and I will like it more by then.
Until then, looking forward to my new Euro 5 Mk7.5 arriving soon.

Well it has the same engine as the current euro5 so I'm sure he'll be on it very soon.
