Seems I'm getting rubbish MPG with my MK7 115 2.4 with 26mpg!! That's driving at 60mph with little load :( 60mph is 2500rpm I think and 70mph is 3000rpm

Hope it's allowed, I used the trip computer. Usage is mixed, Transit is almost full long trip, Connect/Tourneo mostly city.
- Transit Connect LWB 1.6L - ~36mpg.
- Tourneo Connect 1.5L 7 seater - ~29mpg.
- Transit LWB / 2H - ~33mpg

Moral of the story: don't believe official figures.
Do I care? Hell no. I want a V6 in all my Fords, and I would be fine with 20mpg even. (sue me?)
I wonder if the Duratorq engines can be tuned at all, would be great if they could be pushed a bit more. I mean they break anyhow, why not get a bit more juice out of them. But yeah, finding a proper tuner in Hungary might be a difficult task.

Hi, i have a 2010 swb low roof econetic, 2.2 fwd 6sp manual.
Just did my 1st full tank and got 32mpg (or 790k's to 69lt), mainaly urban driving with air con on and loaded to around 200-250kg,
However, i think my front tyres are the wrong size as it says in the owner manual fwd should have 195 75r16 on the front wheels, mine has 215 75r16 front and rear. Speedo says I'm doing around 120 but actual speed is 110 (kph) and cruising at top sp in 6th seems hard on the engine.
I also found that the air pipe feeding the air box was not connected to the air box, so after i fit the kn panel filter, a good service I'm hoping to get better mpg

Just got 36.6 mpg on a highway only run from devonport to Hobart and back (Tassie, Australia) or 7.7lt/100k's, best I've ever had for my own car, however the mrs peugot 308 2.0 td, gets 5.5lt/100k's on the same trip!!

Think I will need to arrange a van tuner session. feels like I'm doing gallons to the mile right now. mainly Urban miles 17 to 20 per trip and half a tank lasts around 180 miles.

hopefully when they start pumping oil and gas out of the Weald basin in the south of england prices should fall...ive invested in a few companies drilling down there namely ukog, angus energy, primorus ..others are Alba and solo oil...not many people know about this but the oil field has been nicknamed the gatwick gusher...supposedly bigger than the north sea oil fields...just google david lenigas who started ukog [uk oil and gas]

I've just done a tour of Spain and Portugal in the camper, a mk5 Hi Cube turbo with dual rear wheels and a Bosch injector pump conversion. We traveled on a mixture of roads across deserts, mountains & coast, from fast motorways, down to scenic roads the HiCube shouldn't really be on, especially if there's something coming the other way.

It returned 28mpg over 3700 miles, best tankful got us 460miles, worst was 334miles.
