Ford autosleeper frisky help

Postby muddycampers » Fri Dec 04, 2015 10:16 am

I have a lovely autosleeper frisky which I am trying to decide whether to keep into old age or sell ...
It has apparently a private number plate which I could sell?? There were only 50 made .... it runs well ... only 60 plus thousand miles on clock .... I just wonder if it needs to be owned by an enthusiast rather than a busy mum ... I have no idea how to work out what its worth or what to do as parts I guess will become harder to come by ... any thoughts please

Blimey fifteen years you musta had some cool trips in that time :)
Loads of parts available for mk3's still
Getting rarer by the day and worth up to 3k maybe even more in the summer :!:
Mine had only two owners in the first twenty seven years 8)

We also have a Frisky, and also have been told there were only 50 made. We bought it as a project to save it, as bodily it is not the best.

However the interior is perfect, and now we have had the engine reconditioned, are committed to its restoration.

Price wise, poor examples of any Autosleeper even with no mot can push £2000. Long owned examples with good history can fetch really good money.

I think my problem is I am not a mechanic ... I have a good one who is busy so if parts are getting rarer if there is a problem I have to wait a week or more for parts .... kids sob if I mention selling it!! Im not sure if changing for a transit custom conversion would be better for longer trips ..

If I could get a van that would mean I cant smell the exhaust from other cars I would think about it as we are all sensitive .... cheers for feedback .... people say good money ..... I wonder what sort of money they mean and if I sell how I would go about it to find a devoted buyer

If I were you I would wait till march/april and put it on ebay with really good pics,
If yours has good history it could easily go over 3k :)
Or just try it on here

Haha 3 yeats later I still have this van and trying to fathom out how to attach modern awnings to the chunky rainwater guttering ... this new twin pin thing doesn't seem to work
