Nearly every other one I have looked at is that sort of price or more expensive with much higher mileage, isn't 85hp enough, the most I will tow is my 2 berth stress box

and you will find air con to be as use in winter to keep the windows from misting and such like
let's not be too hasty
its not mileage its the rust that's most likely to kill a transit

I hear you, I just thought it was worth £40'odd on a train fare and a day out of my life to look, was hoping someone from Stockport might be on here to answer my original question or pop and have a look for me, they have sent me some other pics of the wheel arches and they are showing rust on the inner lip but no rot, is 85 really that bad? I'm no boy racer

the build date on that one is 3/2007 not far off ten years old that's 80 in human years

Ha ha, very true. To be fair the DVLA check was ok BUT there is no service history with the van, strange when its a one owner van and they where a bit vague when I asked questions.

I know it's not that close to you, but Northants Van Centre in Wellingborough is worth a look - it's where I got mine from, and they were great to deal with.

At the moment they have loads of VWs but hardly any Transits, but sometimes it's the other way round.

Wellingborough is on the East Coast Main Line so should be do-able on the train.
