registration year

Postby allistairs » Sun Dec 18, 2016 8:29 pm

evening all.....
so we took a leap into Transit ownership and got ourselves a 2008 MWB minibus to convert into a basic camper.
it was ex MOD so had to be re-registered - fair enough we were expecting that however it has come back from the DVLA on a '12 reg.

log book is still on its way to us so we dont know if there is going to be any reference to 2008 on there or not

is this a common occurrence?
should we be worried?
should we sell it quick & pocket the profit !!!!

any thoughts, comments, advice etc

I have heard of and seen this before.

I assume the logbook will say something like it was used at time of registration

Yes the DVLA DO make mistakes BUT NEVER admit them...

I once had a 1980 Landrover on a "54" plate.

They would not have it they were wrong so...

Sent me back the V5 stating date of manufacture as 2005

Needless to say that more than trebled the value

Result
