I was just tinkin then.
Now that you have me worried about taking billy in tomorrow
When I booked the cervix in I asked about pcm updates and the young lady told me that as part of the service it would be plunged in and if needed any updates done
For nought :P
Well as part of the 200 quid
So that will be ids then
Won't it ?

I don't know :-(

There are machines that will do pcm update and stuff and if they can do it I'm sure it'll be fine but i was just wondering since they got no codes last time that means that the fault isn't permanent and you need it to be showing at the time of reading with the machine.
My thought was maybe only ids can see historic codes?
My be nonsense and all quality readers can access any secondary memory in the pcm(wherever historic stuff lives)

Yes? :-)

Anyway don't worry about it I'm sure they're all highly trained and have all the correct equipment :-)

That's why I am dropping it off tomorrow so they get it cold so when it it on Tuesday morning hopefully
When I googled that message "service engine now"
The advise was .. when it happens don't switch it off , drive it to ford and don't stop it so they can find the fault
We shall see ..
Have you noticed if you flick the ignition to start it the starter keeps going till it starts
Mental init

"Ah Mr allcock,, gonig into limp mode it was just a sensor on your inlet
And we have put a new one on now :) but while we were replacing the door strap we found some additional wiring inside the door
We don't know what it is but its been spliced into the locking mechanism "
Then he showed me a pic of a reed relay on his phone and said he wasn't sure what this is but it looks like a resistor of some kind, have you had the van from new ? ..oh well the previous owner must of done it :?

Ah you didn't show him your mirrors working then? He'd have passed out seeing the magic :P
Inlet is map but these have a few sensors i think multiple iat sensors and stuff, probably best not to think about it as it's under warranty but yes take a picture of the new sensor and write down what happens when it is faulty and that might help me and others when it happens to us

I thought it was best to keep quite about the mirrors same with the allcock extreme performance exhaust that's in the bottom shed at the moment so they dont spy it
I will get a pic of said sensor tomorrow then so it can be put on the list of "poorly designed stuff "
