VCM 2 dilemma

Postby EDDY99 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 12:56 pm

Got VCM 2 which works fine except on the K-Line it wont speak to the RCM.
Sent it back to china twice but they said it was ok and sent it back.
I tested it on another van the other day with the same problem, no comms with the RCM module.
The supplier said send it back and we will fix it.

The dilemma.
Is RCM module programming that important or do I stick with a VCM 2 which works on most things :?: :?:

RCM isn't a problem, don't bother programming it and if it is ad you can't anyway, ae probably can but only to reinstate it because you accidentally reprogrammed it in the first place Lol. they aren't something that you need to program.
Don't send anything back to China because you won't see it again, postal system is corrupt.

If you can do everything other than RCM then be happy with it trust me.

RCM are plug and play so no coding needed, 10-30 pounds for another from the breakers and likely they'll be going down in price because nobody ever needs them except silly ppl who got a vcm and accidentally reprogrammed them to twin airbags! (plus the mk7 it'd getting a bit old and trampy now so even less demand)

New RCM plug in and works.
Any other faults with wiring or resistance has nothing to do with the module so no need for ids.

Thanks Loot that solves my dilemma.
I suppose I am a bit anal and like things to work properly.
Last time I sent it back they said it was not faulty so I don't really have faith they would fix it even if I sent it back.
:D :D

Not at all Lol i do the same when i get these things in my head but after i spend so much time on it i stop and realize that it is small potatoes and in the grand scheme of things it isn't important.
I spent many many hours on ids and the mk7 and i never changed my life in any way nor do i own a mk7 anymore
