I concur, if I could afford a new van it would be the last van I bought as you say enthusiastically looked after from new will/should last a lifetime, especially with yearly underseal from new :P N

Use it till its furkred and on it's last legs and fit for a tramp.

It's what I've always done with vans, and some you win, and they cost virtually nothing to run, some you lose and they need lots of parts and repairs.
On balance you never lose as much money as you would suffering the massive depreciation that you have with new vehicles :)
