Don't get confused with those duals though,
Just cause it has two lanes doesn't always mean it's a dual carriageway.
It's only classed as a dual carriageway if it has a barrier or grass verge between the opposite lanes.

What gets me is most of Europe is up to 3.5t your all the same! regardless of vehicle type even up to 130k/h (~85mph)

Not true!, the stocksbridge bypass had the refund 1000s if not 100s of 1000s of tickets because it is partly a dual carriageway with a 70 limit and no central reservations, signs were national speed limit, and tickles were for over 60mph .

i never knew that the uk had different speed limits for commercials-theyre all the same here in ireland, still its only 10mph on a single carrigeway thats the difference

Converted my 350 to a camper. Unladen now weighs 2.8T. Can do car speed limits everywhere brrrrrrrrrmmm get out of my way you commercial losers :lol:

All the sh@t laws the U.K. has taken from the EEC this is one we needed to do.but if you look at a lot of U.K. motoring laws they are to complicated to many exceptions in them they need overhauling when hgvs whent up to 50 mph vans should have gone up to 60 and 70 mph at the same time

I always thought it was because of loads in the backs of vans but vans with bulkheads installed rules that out
