Good evening/morning your lordship

How often do you have to empty your oil catch can?

Just curious as I have just ordered a new one they doesn't vent to air, my filter has gone AWOL and covered the engine in a slight oily mess   only noticed today when checking fluid levels.

Many thanks N

I have 1 on my mk5.
Instead of venting via a small air filter I have a pipe which vents behind the airfilter box.
Thus giving the impression it's re circulating the crank gas
Never had to empy it and it's been on for over a year.
