Speed limiter removal

Postby LeeSWFC » Fri Mar 16, 2018 5:55 pm

First of all, hello! It’s my first post on here! Not sure if I’ve posted this in the right place but hey ho!

Basically I have a Ford Transit Mk7 that is limited to 70mph, which is really frustrating when I’m doing 150+ per day!

I’d like to get it removed but I don’t know anybody locally that can do it, aside from Ford themselves who wanted £110 + vat to remove it! I’m in the Doncaster/South Yorkshire region if anybody knows of someone who could remove this cheap using IDS?

Thankyou in advance!

It can also be done using Forscan

Be aware there are many different types of limiter, some can be deactivated simply in the settings, some are written in the ecu map, and some have them there by law! Minibuses etc.
