It is a Piaggio Ape (bee in Italian). You often see the 50cc ones in shopping centres like this:

This is a 200cc (I think) version with a flat bed on the back. I think it might tip but I am not sure. The one I've got is a 1978 model. This is the new model:

I am thinking of restoring it and then maybe looking to stick an A Board on the back and use it for advertising.

With regards to the trailer...

With the full B+E it doesnt matter what the gross weights of the vehicle are, so long as the max gross of the vehicle isnt exceeded on the own, the gross of the trailer isnt exceeded on its own, and the combined actual weights dont exceed the max train weight...

Ie. you can tow your 5 tonne MAM trailer with a B+E, but on the back of a transit its total weight has to be 2 tonnes or less

Well, Spend £50 to save the risk of £1000 fine. Save the £1.80 extra each way for the trailer. Plus, although my driver is bloody good with the trailer, its not easy backing one of them down that sort of street.

That said. I know LDV vans are sh*t, but this was an Iveco. I knew the beast I was picking up fits inside a LWB high roof transit and this Iveco looks longer than my LWB so it was promising. I went to it with an open mind. 54 reg with only 77k on the clock.
On the way back we discussed the positive points about the van. My driver commented on how the 2.3 diesel performed and that it was nice and nippy considering the overall height of the van. Other than that it had a nice blue/dark grey pattern on the seats. Perhaps I should of phoned FastTrack earlier and got a mk6 before they were all booked out instead of this Iveco thing. Also a point to note is the Iveco Daily is narrower inside when compared to a mk5 transit.
Anyone know of a mk5 LWB high top for sale in the Essex region?

That's fine if you passed your test before 1997, or if you've taken your separate B+E test, but not if you're on a B licence after 1997.

I gotta look into doing the B+E test then. Have to speak to the Caravan club, they might know somewhere that isn't too pricey.

Well, its got the 200cc engine but looks seized. Might have to get the barrel rebored and an oversized piston but I think it would be better to get the existing working, then fit a different engine
