and as well as the fossil fuel electricity they use and hard to recycle parts, how much more polution do they cause in the manufacturing process?

I remember when lexus launched their hybrid 4x4 with its electric motors and petrol engine they ckaimed it did around 32mpg at peak eficeincy for its v6 3000cc if i remember correctly, at the time my wife had a grand Vitara 2.5 v6 petrol that did around 35mpg in day to day use shopping school runs etc. So why is the lexus 'green' when it uses more fuel than a normal petrol engined vehicle?

well i always tax my mk1 online so it actually costs them the postage :lol: :lol: :lol: and then im off to the post office to tax me mk7 so i dont do my bit to help close our local post office :)
