Today my Mk6 got on workstand in Auto-Waś in Warsaw... Injectors are out - all are ok. Big relief - because injectors was with new original Delphi valves and sprayers...

In engine is big whole...

and I bought at once new using engine. Donor it is British Mondeo Mk3 before lift, engine 115 HP. But head ist this same as in Transit, pistons and rods are this same as in 130 HP engine. With Transit tdci equipment it will 125 HP engine.
I took this one, because donor is after accident, but mileage only 75.000 miles.

I took for shopping substitute car - old Golf, it was little bit to small...

Needed help!

I still don't know what happend with turbo - in high speed it was very warm and stopped suddenly without lubrication. Second thing - metal pieces from exhaust could destroy turbine.
New original Garrett turbocompressor kosts 2.600 PLN (520 GBP), after regeneratio 800 PLN (160 GBP) - but original will works three times longer...

Engine is out - on left my old demaged engine, on right my... hope. :roll:

Clutch is used very much, 160.000 miles in city driving - very good result. I must buy complete clutch (LUK) and double mass flying wheel (LUK also).

After engine taking out, we can see second one whole on oposit side.

This small metal piece it is... top of connecting rod. :shock: I found it outside engine in engine chamber on beam. :lol:

Today... - engine completely mounted with fittings and gearbox waited for assembly...
All four warm-plugs in "new" engine was burnt-out, three was easy to change, but one... :cry:
Turbocompressor is fill with oil - it can not start dry... :wink:
Simmering under flying wheel is replaced...

Engine will be uplift by chain winch and put down to the canal.

Then they will move car and through the engine chumber - without bonnet and plastic element under wind-sreen - engine will lift back to engine chumber and mounted. In this method they don't must to disassembly the whole car front.

Today morning test for engine start . It works! All looks and sounds good... 8)

After engine test is time for half-shaft assembly and gear-box oil.

Next step - engine will work longer time outside. This time is for injectors self-adaption and we can see possible leakage.

Maybe tomorrow I will take car?
