yeah its legal if they have more than one operators disc and depending on what type of o licence you hold,i was under my parents restriced licence which they was allowed to run two buses which i was one of them, you have to prove that you can afford to maintain both buses and have the funds and space,i think on a restricted you have to have something like £3000 funds available for repair then an extra bus £1800,its all legal, however ive decided to go my own way now and have been going through the process of getting my restricted o licence, been waiting over 3 months and got a meeting next week that should decide if i get it or not,if i dont for whatever reason i'll just have to run it as an 8 str and get a taxi plate on it but know i can get a lot more jobs and better money in a 15 str :D

dont know what a bus o-licence is like with "restricted" useage but haulage is only "own goods" not "hire and reward"

BTW, at its age it could soon be too old for a private hire plate.....and you wouldnt put a hackney plate on it anyway

BTW, those funds have to cleared cash in the bank for 13 weeks, it used be only reqd to show a credit card with funds available

plus "consultant" cpc holders are looked at harder now

nah checked it out with vosa,a credit card is still good enough,iv already had that approved by the commisioner, and i could still use it on private hire plates if i took the seats out as theres no age limit in my area on vehicles, apparantly its been talkedabout bringing a 5 yr age limit in on private hire vehicles but it would affect too many people so the local council didnt bother, although a local council,i think its rochdale has brought an age limit in to force but thats the only one ive heard in greater manchester,i believe theres other parts of the country that have also done this, but hopefully it wont affect me when i get my operators licence, what do you run on your licence i noticed youve got a tourneo,is that what youre using and what are they like for getting bags in on the old airport runs if you do them?
