Didn't Grimsby go upmarket when Elton John wrote a song about it

Saturday nights alright for fighting was written about Market Rasen, 30 miles away from grimsby.
Elton didnt write his songs, his song writer Bernie Taupin went to De Aston school in Market Rasen.

The local connection was probably the reason why 'Grimsby' was written as well

Just to bore you some more , Ron temperton the songwriter and producer for Michael Jackson , Donna summer, Quincy Jones to name a few was also a Lincolnshire lad. Burn in Cleethorpes and also went to De Aston school in market Rasen.
