The rear was plush pile carpet, it covered the floor sides and roof, appart from carpet there was nothing but space

The sway bar is a Kmac item http://www.k-mac.com.au/ I think its about 35mm in diameter

The front crossmember is the factory Ford Australia unit and it unbolts

the good thing about it is, it shares the same mounts as our V8 falcons so dropping in a 351 windsor or clevo wont be a big task

Im guessing a windsor will bolt straight in :D

Here is an Aussie transit on Ebay

Hehehe you like the sound of 4.1L they dont go too bad either, the later EFI model makes 121kw and over 300nm of torque
My 4.1 race engine sould make 400+hp and about 750nm

Just going to trim it out, floor sides roof etc in some nice red carpet and red/grey velour but that all I can say for now

I thought I had seen every transit type known, this is a beauty. the small pieces of spunge in the corner of the roof/lining, is to keep the roof lining bars that make the lining tight, to stop them from rattling on the edge ?.I only found this out when I placed roof lights on a chassis cab many years ago.
35 years of driving, repairing, sleeping in transit's lovin every minute.

Just an update on whats been happening to the van

I havnt really done all that much to it but I have repaired the front brakes so they now work, degreased the engine and fitted a set of extractors, fitted the front splitter, fitted some sexy "250" stickers and have done some rust repair work, OH and i also fitted a new fuel filler
I had the section above the door folded up and will be picking it tomorrow
and will be getting some NEW tail lights at the end of next week

Anyhow have some more pics to look at
