My Mk6, Mk5 - Mk7 :)

Postby Lemmy » Sat Mar 22, 2014 10:58 pm

Hello Guys, Well, I went and did it, My Transit is now a combo of the Mk5,6 and 7....It started as the Mk6, And has been previously fitted with a Mk5 Banana Engine 2.5di, Never had a problem with it (I have a car if I want to race around). And recently i've took it off the road to fit the Mk7 front end...Which is almost completed...Still need a few parts but here's how I left it..

Any questions just fire away... Will update as I go...Still got to mount hte bumper bar fully, fit the scuttle plastics and plastics up the side of the windows, then spray the bonnet and roof satin or Gloss black. :)

Looks smart! Did you change to mk7 inner wings or did you modify the existing ones?

Modified the exsisting inners, Replaced the top reinforcers and scuttle was cut just before the window and tacked on over the old scuttle...

And yeah looney, Had a few problems...but nothing too major...Fan gonna be running close to the rad but should be ok. went off your measurements for the chassis legs, just cut them straight and seems to fit well enough...another 5mm wouldn't have gone a miss though...Debaiting wether or not to do the the dash conversion now...
