I am goint to do the paint work soon the same colour but what else should i add for practical use...

Wind deflectors and sunvisor.

what are the bars called that go down by the sill's i will need those.

Are front leds worth it as some cars dont see me as a van grrr

colour code covers for the wing mirrors, where from?

Interior
I have a portable fridje to plug into power outlet.

power outlet expander so i can charge my phone/satnav etc

Thats all i can think of at the moment.
Any more sugestions would be great
and a service nest week.

Mk7 rear lights would improve the rear and are the same fit but you need the light and bulb holder as the indicator bulbs have offset pins

TY Brains I have put a request in the for sale section so now I wait for restock...

Before

After
So I decided to clean every panel of the van to remove the mouse paint splatter with gumm wash and it did a graet job. Then I noticed some rust coming through the primer and after much thought i removed all the primer with the same thinners and this is what I found ..

and the door pillar where the sons acted like a sand blaster

Well I think its an improvement to the primer over kill.

Now what is the best way to combat this..
1. Rust eater http://www.granvilleoil.com/product_inf ... rod_id=793
2.Zynk Primer
3.Filler been done i think
4.spray filler to fill in pimples
5.zynk primer again
6.respray to correct colour

Have i missed a step?

I will keep this updated.

I put a lot of effort into mine and 12 months later is was back. The proper way is to chop it out and replace but it's not viable most of the time

So I used the rust converter then zink primed over the top
Image

My nest step is to spray filler over the to but the damage is in the "V" should i sparay the center only and leave 1/2" primer around the edje so i can blend it in?

I have decided to let the body shop do the spray job too much for a spray can todo.

So I am working on the lights instaed.
1st got some hids of paul2012 to fit later when i have a day off.
So i am doing the interior lights and got some of these for the back

And what a difference they make I may add another at rear of the van above the rear door as the gat looks big enough.
ImageLed festoon by HELL54N6EL, on Flickr
wont have to use my ipone light anymore.

So thats the back of the van done, next will be the front cab lights but i am still waiting for them to arrive.

my next update should be my front hids fitted and the front arches removed treated and wax oiled.

My front cab leds came today and as normal the provided adapters do not fit  :x :!:

So I had to make my own but MY main thought was if they break I will need to put bulbs back in so I did not want to weld mod the bulb holder.
[*]. Get an blown bulb or new depending on your wallet and smash the glass "BUT BE CAREFUL" Glass is VERY sharp and thin.
Don't break the wires inside!
Image
When I do my second I will try to keep the glass mushroom inside to see if its a better design.

Next is to get the wires and connection, I just removed the white spade connector from the pack.
[*]Then solder the wires together.
ImageLed bulbs

[*]Then file down the x4 corners to fit into to casing
ImageLed bulbs

[*]Next is to put the thing back together Remember to insulate the back of the board just for safety.
ImageLed bulbs

The wires broke off the board so had to re-solder those as well

Parts used and one spare Bulb carcus

The result was better than I expected

I have the second one to fit but I might get sun burn
