Went away for the weekend and the starter kick the bucket and the alternator started to charge at 19volts go figure oh yea i will buff up the rest of her

Regulator pack on alternator wants addressing then! Those dash board lamps are a pain to replace lol

Funny thing the battery light comes on when starts but then goes off lucky i have a spare light and an alternator and a spare very new starter on the spare truck i bought :D oh is the regulator on the back of the alternator or some where ill have to bend like a pretzel :?: :?

Yeah black plastic pack only bolts on and brushes make contact inside on the armature.
Could prob do ot with out removing alternator!
Just make sure disco battery earth!!!

[attachment=3]Guess what its not the simple one of cause not its the internal one hahahaha :D :lol: :roll: :cry: oh well i think we will bite the bullet and buy a new alternator and chase up the rebuild kit for the old one and no the one in the donor van is really different oh well :D :D thats life :lol:

Biggest one is bosch 3kw one. The flanges and starter gears should all still mesh if all di starters...

got the new starter working the pin was broken on the solenoid so soldered one back on
now can anyone tell me what alternator i have by the pic's again no numbers :roll: :roll:
