MK7 FORD TRANSIT CAMPER/DAY VAN CONVERSION

Postby Scotty1979 » Sun May 28, 2017 11:32 pm

Hi guys , This my new Ford Transit swb 110 T260.
I bought this van a 3 weeks ago as a project camper/day van.
I also need to use this work for work so this will not be a common or straight forward conversion.
I hope you guys like this van as much as i do.

So far I have
1 Removed the twin front seat and replaced it with a left handed driver seat
2 Removed the standerd ford 6000 cd head unit , Fitted a single din surround for a sony head unit
3 Fitted a Sony Blutooth head unit with the correct steering control adapter
4 Fitted a rear tow bar step
5 Fitted to shelves for tools in the rear
I want to do the following

1 New alarm
2 fit swivels to both the front seats
3 Fit some new speakers
4 Remove old bench seat ,replace for a set that the back folds flat and build a box under to lift them to match front seat hight
5 Fit solar panels and new wiring
6 Fit HD lights of some kind
7 Fit AUDI style ld indicators
8 Fit rear ladder for roof rack access
9 Fix the spare wheel bracket that hold the wheel under the back
10 Possible fit a secound spare to the rear l/h door
11 Get all the seats upholstered in a leather effect ST style asap.

Hi. I've just done the same but not made any progress yet due to an electrical fault stopping me getting access to the back ( ex AA Van bought at auction ) yours looks a neat and tidy. I'm looking to do a full camper conversion but not the usual set up with indoor cooker. Would like more room inside and cook outside. Not sure how long it will take as i've got 2 kids under 3 who keep me busy as well. I'll keep an eye on your progress as i'm interested in some of your ideas.
