Great thread, some great pics of your travels, I get to run down to the South West France occasionally and its a lot more relaxing than driving over here, didn't get many pics from my last jaunt but here's one taken in the early hours of a sunday morning in the centre of Rouen last August.
Keep posting the pics.

Not bad at all Azer 8) Power aside would you rate it a better engine than the 2.4 ? I mean in running terms, durability/fuel/servicing etc etc

Yeah mate I would,I've been away for 3 weeks and loaded to the max most of my trips, even with back loads and she's averaging 32-33 mpg.

Even maxed out on 3500kg she still passes vans on the big hills and its not often I have to drop from 6th to 5th.

Servicing is every 30,000 miles although I do change the fuel filter at 15,000,Blindbeggar does also.

She don't drink no oil or water, she just keeps going and going, fills me with confidence.

Also someone on this Forum has recently spoken with the Guy who designed this engine for Ford (on my daughters life,I got no reason to bullsh*t you)he said its was ran for 750,000 miles at 4500rpm and was still going strong, also they ran without any Oil and it ran for 95 miles with out it...

I still find it hard to believe what power it has and the economy has gotten better over the last 10,000 miles, loosened up a bit I expect.

If Ford don't put atleast a 200ps lump in their next model,I will be very dissapointed,I know there is not many about and I feel very fortunate that I was able to get hold of one but it really is a "Beast".. :D :D

I've covered 95,000 miles in 14 months and it feels as good today as when I first got her, still pi**es many car drivers off at lights or off a roundabout along with many Sphincters,Vit*'s and Transp****rs...You can see them looking as you p**s past them...bye bye...

Also all I've had done to it over 14 months apart from servicing and tyres is New Front Cover,Vac Pump (as seal went) and exhaust heat shield....where my 140ps had 2 EGR's,Map/Maf sensors,Turbo Vac Pump..

So basically I'm well happy..
