It's official, I ordered my wheels today! :)

I ordered the Motegi MR122 wheels in an 18" x 8" wheel with a +35 offset.

Actually, I need BETTER brakes. The stock brakes on this are TERRIBLE!

I just have to figure out what I can use to upgrade with. I'm used to sport brakes.
Not to mention, this thing is supposed to haul 1600 lbs... how am I supposed to be able to stop if the brakes don't work (like , you know, they don't NOW).

not sure 18" wheels will look that big as your pictures

as for the brakes,do you have discs on the rear? if so they are the same as ford focus c-max. its easier to buy uprated discs and pads for a c-max
as for the front you can buy uprated front discs and pads

I *believe* that mine have front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
I'll have to double-check tomorrow

So. Yah. My wheels just came in, got my new tires. I was able to pick my Transit up from the shop AS they closed, and I found something that REALLY bothers me.

The spokes actually protrude at least 1/2" to 1" further than the lip of the wheel. I don't think I like that, but since it was pouring rain and pitch black out, I won't know until the morning. At which point I'll take pictures and let you guys see what's going on >_<

Well , got looking at it today, and I did NOT like the 40 series tires. Looked (and felt) like I had too little tire.

So I went back and they swapped me out for some 45 series tires.

This was the 40's....

I like the 45's MUCH better.

Well, nothing exactly *yet*... but lets see, I could show you what is being shipped to my front door as we speak....

Here's a bit of a hint...

Image

After all of that arrives, Bumbles is going into the shop, and his front door panels are being ripped out and modified :D
