125 350 51 reg 2nd hand price

hi all

need some advice on buying van , my lad is right into moto x and as its about the only thing that gets him off the xbox need to buy a van just for this purpose, got a new 350 100 transit but its my work van and its a company van so not practical, been offered a 125 350 lwb ht transit that has been used for mx for the last 8 years by 1 of the dads at local track wants £1500 for it, had a quick look around it and it seems needs 2 tyres on front some tax and a general cosmetic tidyup there is some surface rust around front arches and sills.says its a bit slow to start from cold sometimes, had a new clutch 30k ago its now on 140k, front disc have a lip on them as well

is this a good price ? what are your thoughts?

Probably about right for age and mileage, have a good look underneath though and poke around the inner sills and cross members to check for bad rot. Give it a drive and get it up to temperature to check it doesn't overheat and will start up again once warm. Check for excessive smoke too, could be the injectors need replacing if he's having problems.
Are the 125's prone to problems with injectors?

spoke to him today and have committed to buy next thursday as long as it drives ok, forgot to mention its got fiamma awning with sides and its a 5 seater 2 more in the back + water tanks for jet wash so meets my needs perfectly, makes it seem more attractive to me anyway ! lol wish me luck
